Balancing Being Both Brand and Creator.

With video content now being at the forefront of the online media landscape, it's important to be aware of and use all the web tools available at your disposal. If your brand or business has any form of content, uploading it to YouTube helps you reach a wider audience, while giving yourself an online video archive to use as a resource for any future social campaigns.

Make a Playlist

Categorize your video content based on what topics are being covered. Whether you’re an artist, municipal business, or corporation, different categories make it easier to for you and your audience to understand the type of information being shared. Videos need not be ubiquitous-so long as they are part of your brand-someone, somewhere may stumble upon your playlist as it was exactly what they were searching for.

Use Thumbnails

Over the last decade, YouTube’s user base has expanded exponentially. Grab user attention even before pressing the play button. Thumbnails showcase a still image where a watermark, logo, or text can indicate what the video is about in a visually appealing way.

Learn Creator Studio

Once you build up to a library of content, you can analyze metrics with YouTube Creator Studio. Manage and categorize content, while checking which videos are racking up the most views.

Leverage Your Brand Online All Day, Everyday

In 2022, social media is the ultimate tool for leveraging your brand online. It helps you connect with consumers in new and deeper ways. Social media marketing is a branch of digital marketing where promotions are cultivated for targeted audiences. Creating engaging content online increases brand visibility and credibility.

If You’re Not Online, You’re Already Behind

Brick and mortar doesn’t only appeal to passersby anymore. Social media can be used to connect with other potential customers for your local product or service. Already have a web or e-commerce site? All the more reason to have a strong presence on social platforms.

Learn the Platforms

Depending on your target demographic, familiarize yourself with all the social media platforms and who they cater to. Adept at writing? Twitter is the most popular microblogging site to share article links and opinions in 280 characters or less. If your brand is more kinetic, try your hand at short form video content on Tik Tok. Pinterest is primarily visual, and Instagram is the multi-hyphenate of them all.

Consistency is Key

Once your business account is created on social media, consistency is instrumental in growing your brand. Post regularly, build your audience, engage with consumers, and share content of value. Use all the tools the platforms have to offer such as post insights and audience metrics to gauge what works best.

If you need help with managing your brand or business on social media, the digital team at Full Moon Creative is here to help! Breaking Down the Video Production Process

Ever wondered what goes into making a commercial or film? If it’s done well, the answer is…a lot. It truly takes a village to create a quality video, no matter the length. Through collaboration, videos are literal visions brought to life. The anatomy of the production process, in its most basic form, can be broken down into 3 parts…

1) Pre-Production

This is where the story is born. Someone gives a pitch that turns into a script. Because this is video and not literature, storyboards establish a blueprint for what’s going to be seen on screen. Locations are scouted, props are listed, and any form of wardrobe is determined. Shot lists are made, shoot dates are set, and, if applicable, actors are cast. While the planning portion is tedious, it makes for a smoother shoot.

2) Production

Lights, camera, action! This is the part most people are familiar with. To be on set is to be a cog in a machine with several moving pieces, all of which are integral to the final product. While the variability is wide, generally, cameras are rolling and the full cast and crew are working. Not to mention, “crafty” will be available providing delicious food and drinks.

3) Post-Production

Post is where your video is refined and polished. Editors work hard to cut out any unnecessary footage that doesn’t move the story along. Colors are enhanced or muted, and sound is brought up or down (or in some cases, re-recorded altogether, known as ADR). Musical scores are added at this point. A masterpiece is made.
